Green Energy Schools

Green-Schools, (internationally known as Eco Schools), is an international environmental education programme, environmental management system and award scheme that promotes and acknowledges long-term, whole school action for the environment. The aim of Green-Schools is to increase students’ and participant awareness of environmental and sustainable development issues through classroom studies and to transfer this knowledge into positive environmental action in the school and also in the wider community.

ESB Independent Energy, sponsors of the Green Energy - project for schools, offers you the opportunity to get involved. As a business you can take the opportunity to share your Energy Management Initiatives with schools helping them to understand the positive impacts that can be made to the environment through the introduction of Energy Management best practice.
